The Kiwanis Club of Wausau is actively involved in the community in multiple projects, such as:
- Camp Hope
- provides a safe atmosphere for children who have lost a loved one. Our role at Camp Hope is to help in the kitchen to facilitate camp food service and allow the trained counselors to work with the children
- Adopt-A-Highway
- Twice a year, teams of our club members clean our assigned stretch of the highway in Rothschild.
- Coats for Kids
- Each fall, our club facilitates an area-wide clothing drive that helps to provide warm winter clothing for area families distributed at the Salvation Army.
- Make a Difference Day Leaf Raking
- Teams of our members help rake yards for people who aren't able to do it themselves.
- Kids Voting
- We staff several locations for Kids Voting during elections.
- Salvation Army Bellringing
- through ringing bells annually, we help the Salvation Army meet the needs of the community.
- Kiwanis Little Olympics
- For many years, our club has hosted Little Olympics, providing an opportunity for youth ages 7 to 13 to compete in track and field events.
